A Database contains a series of data tables which hold all design and material data for manipulation by the software. This includes:
Database-level can be thought of in three categories: Defaults, Properties, and Library.
HyperX offers a wide variety of options for analysis settings and design criteria to be considered throughout the Analysis/Sizing process. The majority of these settings can be stored as inherent properties of the Database - "Database Defaults."

The remaining two categories, Properties and Library, are organized on the Property Tree, found in the bottom lefthand corner of the Viewport.
Note
When it comes to teams working together in HyperX, think of a Database Template as defining all analysis and design inputs required by the program. It is then saved - typically on a common server - and passed to all engineers as a starting place for Sizing.
Any operations that are done to the Database or a Project within the Database can be found on the Database tab of the Ribbon.
