There are Sample Projects for both Edge and Point Joint types. These Projects are further categorized by the type of Joint Design Property and Analysis Property being applied. See an overview of each below.
Tip
After opening a Sample Project, review both the Structure and Property Tree to understand the analysis entities and corresponding setup that are included in the Project.
Edge Joint Sample Projects - Projects that are set up to Size Joints based on shell element line loads (i.e. no connector elements modeled).

Fastened Edge Joint - This Project contains 3 different Joint entities, to show the difference in setup between 1- and 2-member joints, as well as Joints connecting metal and composite plates, respectively. Each Joint is set for analysis of a single-shear fastened joint. Be sure to review both the Design Property and the Analysis Property/Failure Modes assigned to each Joint.
This Project can also be used as an example of a bearing-bypass analysis setup. Review the composite material definition that is called by the solid laminate panel to see an example of bearing-bypass curves used by the bearing-bypass Failure Mode applied to the Joint.

Riveted Edge Joint - This Project contains 3 different Joint entities, to show the difference in setup between 1- and 2-member joints. Each Joint is set for analysis of a riveted joint. Be sure to review both the Design Property and the Analysis Property/Failure Modes assigned to each Joint.
Point Joint Sample Projects - Projects which are set up to Size Joints that are discretely modeled in the FEM as connector elements. This modeling technique is only applicable to fastened or riveted joints - which is reflected in the Sample Projects that are included in this section.

Single Shear Point Joint - This Project contains two Joints, modeled by connector elements, which connect two plates. One plate is metal, the other composite. Each Joint is assigned a single-shear Design Property. Be sure to review both the Design Property and the Analysis Property/Failure Modes assigned to each Joint.
