Every Dashboard User will have an Account. They will belong to a Company and will be associated with Programs, which represent teams or projects they are a part of. A User's permissions are determined by their Role in their Company and Program(s).
You will use your Collier Aerospace Help Center account to log in to the Dashboard.
-
If you already have a HyperX Help System account, proceed to Dashboard Access for Existing Account.
-
If you don’t have an account start at Creating a New Account.
Creating a New Account
-
Navigate to the Dashboard page (dashboard.collieraerospace.com) and click “Sign Up”.
-
On the registration page, enter your information and click “Sign Up”.
Now that you’ve created your account, it will need to be verified for Dashboard use. If you are not verified within a day or so, please submit a contact form at Contact (collieraerospace.com) or email us at <info@collieraerospace.com> to request verification.
Dashboard Access for Existing Account
If you have already created an account for the HyperX Help System, you will need to submit a contact form at Contact (collieraerospace.com) or email <info@collieraerospace.com> to request Dashboard verification.
Initial Login
Once your Account is created and verified, you will be taken to the home screen of the Dashboard shown below:
Now that your Account is set up, you may also enable Multi-Factor Authentication. Instructions for that can be found in Setting Up Multi-Factor Authentication(MFA). However, this is not required to begin working with the Dashboard.
The next step is to associate your Account with a Company. That process is detailed in Company Creation, Inviting, and Joining.
Prerequisite - You have created and verified an Account for Dashboard use.
All Accounts and data uploaded to the Dashboard must be associated with a Company. You have the option of either joining an existing Company or creating one yourself. Once part of a Company, you may add Users to the Company depending on your permissions
Create
If you are the first person in your company to create a Dashboard account, you’ll need to create the Company yourself. By default, Users cannot create Companies, so you will need to contact Collier Aerospace at Contact (collieraerospace.com) or email us at <info@collieraerospace.com> to request permission to create Companies under your Account.
Once your Account has Company creation privileges:
-
Click your account name at the top right corner of the screen. In the dropdown, select “My Companies”.
-
Click the “+” button in the popup that opens.
-
Enter the name of your Company into the “Create Company” popup and click “Create”.
-
Observe that you are now listed as the Administrator of the created Company. This gives you additional permissions, like inviting others to the Company. To learn more about the Administrator and other team member roles available on the Dashboard, check out Roles and Sharing.
Invite
Prerequisite: You are the Administrator or Maintainer of a Company.
-
To invite other Dashboard Accounts to this Company, press the “+” button next to the company name.
-
In the resulting pop-up, enter the email of the User you want to invite to your Company and click “Add”.
-
Observe that that User is now listed under the “Invited Users” section of your Company’s user list. They will have to accept the invite through the Dashboard UI to join the Company.
Warning
It is your responsibility to ensure that the people added to Companies are allowed to access the data used in that Company. Take all necessary precautions when dealing with sensitive data, such as ITAR, so that you don’t share the data with someone who isn’t allowed to access it.
Join
If someone in your company is already using the Dashboard and has already made a Company, they can invite you to their existing Company by following the steps in the previous section.
To accept the invite:
-
Click your account name in the top right and select “My Invites” from the dropdown.
-
Click the green checkmark button to accept the invite.
Now that you’ve created/joined a Company, you must create or join a Program before you can begin uploading results from HyperX. You can automatically create a Program when uploading results from HyperX or you can create one from the Dashboard interface.
Prerequisite - You have created and verified an Account for Dashboard use and are a part of a Company.
Programs are how the Dashboard represents specific teams or projects within a Company. Whenever data is uploaded to the Dashboard, it must be associated with a Program. This allows every member of that Program to view and use that Upload Set in their own Graph Sets and Graphs.
Create
There are two ways to create a Program. One way is automatically creating one when specifying a new Program name when uploading results from HyperX. The other is to manually create one in the Dashboard.
To create a new Program in the Dashboard:
-
Click your account name at the top right corner of the screen. In the dropdown, select “My Programs”.
-
Click the “+” button in the popup that opens.
-
Enter the “Name” of your Program and select the “Company” it will belong to. Click the “Add” button to create the Program.
-
Observe that you are now listed as the Administrator of the created Program. This gives you additional permissions, like inviting others to the Program. To learn more about the Administrator and other team member roles available on the dashboard, check out Team Roles.
Invite
Prerequisite: You must be an Administrator or Maintainer within the Program.
-
To add Users to a Program, click your account name in the top right corner and click on “My Programs” in the dropdown.
-
Select a Program from the left side of the “Manage Programs” form.
-
You should see the Program you selected appear on the right side of the popup. Click the “+” button next to the Program name to add Users to your Program.
-
If you are an “Administrator", you can assign Roles to the users in your Program, allowing you to control who can add and remove users.
-
-
Another popup will appear allowing you to add Users to your Program. When you add a User, they will receive an invite that they must accept to actually join the Program.
Once a User accepts the invite, they will be able to view and plot any Upload Sets associated with that Program.
Note
If you invited someone that you did not intend to, you can revoke the invitation by clicking the “X” button next to their name in the “Invited Users” list.
Warning
It is your responsibility to ensure that the people added to Programs are allowed to access the data used in that Program. Take all necessary precautions when dealing with sensitive data, such as ITAR, so that you don’t share the data with someone who isn’t allowed to access it.
Join
Joining a Program is similar to joining a Company, you must be invited by an Administrator or Maintainer of the Program and accept the invite.
To accept an invitation to a Program:
-
Click your account name in the top right and select “My Invites” from the dropdown.
-
Click the green checkmark box next to the invite on the “My Invites” form.
Once you’ve joined a Program, you can use all of the Upload Sets that have been associated with it as well as associate future uploads with the Program.
Roles
There are several different Roles a User can have in a Company/Program each granting them different permissions. Administrators have the highest level of permissions, and they can promote/demote Users by giving them a Role with more or less permissions, respectively. Below is a description of each Role.
-
Member – Can view data specific to the Company/Program and who else is in the Company/Program.
-
External – This Role gets assigned to Users who are added to a Program from a Company they don’t belong to. They have similar permissions to Members with the exception that they can’t be promoted to a higher role for security purposes.
Note
This Role is automatically assigned and cannot be assigned/altered manually.
-
-
Maintainer – Same permissions as Members plus permission to add or remove users from the Company/Program.
-
Administrator – Same permissions as Maintainers plus permission to change the Company/Program name and delete the Company/Program. Can also promote and demote Users within the Company/Program.
Sharing
When you create a Graph, you are the Owner of the Graph. Owners have the most permissions regarding the Graph including the ability to share it with others. Admins have the same permissions as Owners. When you are sharing a Graph with another Dashboard User, you can also give them the following roles:
-
Read-Only – User can view all data associated with a Graph but cannot make any edits.
-
Collaborator – Same permissions as Read-Only plus permission to edit Graph settings and notes.
-
Maintainer – Same permissions as Collaborator plus permission to manage Graph sharing.
-
Owner/Admin – Same permissions as Maintainer plus permission to delete the Graph. Owners/Admins can also promote/demote Users with access to the Graph to roles with more/less privileges, respectively.
