A Stress Report is a document exported directly from HyperX that contains various data and results corresponding to the last-run Analysis or Sizing. Printing a Stress Report is generally the most comprehensive way to get data out of the software at once.
Objective: To generate any form of Stress Report directly from HyperX - the content of which contains all relevant data from the last-run Sizing or Analysis.
Steps to Exporting a Stress Report

Select Zones of interest in the Viewport. See Selection for specific Viewport controls to aid this process.

The data corresponding to all selected Zones will be printed to the report.

Proceed to the 'Result' tab of the Ribbon and click 'Stress Reports.'

From the resulting rise-up, select the preferred report type.
In general, there are three main types of reports:

Microsoft Word Stress Reports - Report stress data in Word document format, including sample calculations for each active failure method. See Word Stress Reports for more information.

Microsoft Excel Stress Reports - Report stress data in Excel column/tab format. See Excel Stress Reports for more information.

Analysis Detail Reports - Reports intermediate data used in each margin of safety calculation for all selected Zones and Joints. See Analysis Detail Reports for more information.

Word Stress Reports automatically extract meaningful stress analysis data (margin details, material definitions, weights, dimensions, etc.) from the current Database and organize it into a well-formatted Word document. The idea is to provide a flexible means to generate a stand-alone Word-based report that serves to document all relevant Analysis and Sizing data to support any sort of design review or certification process.
Types of Word Stress Reports
There are two types of Word-format Stress Reports, the options for which are indicated by the red boxes in the Stress Report rise-up menu below:

Stress Report (MS Word Format) - This is the basic Word-based Stress Report defined above. Selecting this option will allow HyperX to generate a Word Stress Report for the selected Zones based on the most recent analysis.

Custom Method Report (With MS Word Template) - Custom Methods Reports can be used to automatically generate template-based Stress Reports for the custom failure methods found in Analysis Plugins.
Data Contained in Word Stress Reports
HyperX provides the user with several different customization options in order to control what data is reported, how that data is reported, and to add company-specific information (logo, engineer names, etc.). The Stress Report Export form, shown in the image below, illustrates all of these options.
The information contained within each Report Content section is defined below, for reference.

Project - High-level information pertaining to the most recent Project analyzed.

Zones - Tabulated summary data displayed per Zone.

Data- Table containing Zone area, weight, critical margin of safety, controlling Design Load Case, and controlling failure criteria information.

Dimensions- One table per each design type, outlining all relevant Sizing dimensions resulting from the last run.

Margins of Safety - Margin of safety data resulting from the last analysis tabulated in various formats.

Lowest Margin by Analysis- Table of margins outlining the lowest margin of safety generated for each criterion in the last run analysis along with the corresponding Zone and Design Load Case data.

Lowest Margin by Design Load Case- Margin table showing the critical margin of safety and corresponding Zone and failure criteria for each Design Load Case.

Margins for Zones- All margin of safety data displayed for each Zone per object per criterion, with corresponding criteria data and load case IDs.

Margins for Elements - Margin of safety data generated for critical elements (only available if the last run was an element-based analysis).

Critical Design Loads - Tabulated summary of the results of the critical Design Load Cases, based on the number of hits. For an understanding of how a design load case attains "hit" see Load Case Filtering.

Set Summary - Summary of weights resulting from the last analysis displayed per Set.

Database/Project Settings - Summary of the Database and Project settings (see "Advanced Settings") for the last analysis.

Stress and Strain Calculations - Detailed summary of the HyperX methodology for determining the stresses and strains within a panel or beam Zone.

Failure Calculations - Detailed summary of the methodology behind each active failure criterion in the previous analysis run complete with resulting critical margin, corresponding Zone loads, and equations.

Materials - Summarizes the relevant material properties of all Materials included in the analysis results of the previous analysis.
Excel Stress Reports automatically extract meaningful stress analysis data (margin details, material definitions, weights, dimensions, etc.) from the current Database and organize it into a well-formatted Excel Spreadsheet. These reports can either be stand alone to review data that isn't readily available in the HyperX interface or they can be referenced by other reports to support design review or certification.
Types of Excel Stress Reports
There are two types of Excel-format Stress Reports, the options for which are indicated by the red boxes in the Stress Report rise-up menu below:

Stress Report (MS Excel Format) - This is the basic Excel-based Stress Report defined above. Selecting this option will allow HyperX to generate an Excel Stress Report for the selected Zones based on the last-run analysis.

Analysis Details are a particular kind of Excel-based Stress Report that contains intermediate data used to generate margins of safety for each Zone and failure criteria. In conjunction with the Theory sections of the Help Documentation, these reports allow users to trace through the details of each margin of safety calculation.

Usage Notes

Analysis Detail Reports can be generated (1) for all criteria for any selection of Zones from the Ribbon, or (2) for individual criteria for an individual Zone from the Analysis Watch Window.

Each active failure criteria that contains corresponding results for the selected Zone or Joint will have its own tab in the report.

Within each tab:
-
A row lists all data entities for a specific Zone or Joint at a critical Design Load Case.
Note
You will never get more than one row for a given Design Case. When doing Element-Based loads, you will only get the critical element for each Design Case.

A column lists a specific data entity for all Zone/Design Load Case combinations.

For each Zone/Joint, the Analysis Details pertaining to the most critical load cases are stored (sorted from lowest margin of safety to highest).

Generally, the maximum amount of Design Load Cases saved per Zone per criterion is 40 (assuming there are >40 Design Load Cases).

When using Peak Element loads, different Zones can have different number of Design Cases evaluated and reported because different metrics can point to the same combination of Element and Design Case.

Create an Analysis Detail Report for a Single Failure Analysis
In some instances, it may be more useful to only look at the data for one Zone when trying to understand a specific failure method. This can be accomplished from the Failure Analysis Form.
Step 1 - Select a single Zone in the Viewport.
Step 2 - Right Click > Select 'Analysis Results' to launch the Analysis Watch Window.
Step 3 - Right-click on a single failure method of interest and select 'Analysis Details'.
This will automatically generate a single-tab Analysis Detail Report for the selected method. While auto-generated in the TEMP directory, the user is able to save this report as desired using the usual Microsoft functions.
