When analyzing a design in HyperX, sometimes you need to assign Analysis Temperatures on a Zone-by-Zone basis. Historically, users have had two options to define Analysis Temperatures per Zone: using Temperature subcases that don't work with HyperFEA or applying Design Load Overrides on every Zone which is not scalable with large, complex models. As of HyperX version 2026.1.13, you can more easily define and apply Zone-by-Zone analysis temperatures that work with all HyperX features via Temperature Profiles.

As of HyperX version 2026.1.13, Temperature Profiles are used to assign Zone-by-Zone Analysis Temperatures which replaces the previous workflow using Design Load Overrides.
When upgrading a Database with Temperature Overrides to version 2026.1.13, Temperature Profiles will be automatically created based on the Overrides. This can lead to a lot of repeated data so be sure to review the setup after the Database migration.
Temperature Profiles can be accessed from the corresponding button on the Design Loads form. You can open the Design Loads form from the Model tab of the Ribbon.
The "Temperature Profiles" form shows a list of all available Temperature Profiles and provides standard utilities for creating and managing them.
Creating or editing a Temperature Profile opens the "Temperature Profile" form with the following fields and features:

Name - The name of the Temperature Profile.

Default Temperature - Set a default temperature to use for Zones without a temperature manually defined. When a Zone is using the Default Temperature, the temperature will appear grayed and italicized in the Zone Analysis Temperature Table.

Zone Analysis Temperature Table - This table defines the Zone-by-Zone Analysis Temperature mapping. As mentioned above, all Zones must have a temperature assigned for Sizing/Analysis to run.

Excel Utilities - From left to right, these buttons allow you to export this form as a spreadsheet for quick editing in Excel, read the spreadsheet back into the form after editing, and/or import the profile from any selected spreadsheet.

Plot - This button uses the Legend to plot these temperatures on the model in the Viewport.

You can see this plot at any time by navigating to "Inputs > Design Loads > Temperature Profiles" in the Legend.
Temperature Profiles are applied to Design Load Cases and effectively override the Analysis Temperature for that Load Case. When editing a Design Load Case, select "Profile" from the "Analysis Temperature" dropdown.
With that selected, click the "Magnifying Glass" button to open the "Temperature Profiles" form where you can select a Profile and click "Ok" to assign it to the Design Load Case.
Click "Apply" to save the Load Case. You will now see the Temperature Profile assigned as the analysis temperature.
