CAD Entities can be imported and exported in various formats.
As of version 2025.1.4, HyperX's CAD Import and Export features were greatly expanded, but the legacy features are still available to use. You can choose between the new feature set (Standard) or the legacy options by using the CAD Import/Export Settings. Open that form by pressing the corresponding button on the Model tab of the Ribbon.
CAD entities can be imported with the "Import CAD" button on the Model tab of the Ribbon.
Points, Curves, Surfaces, and Solids will be read from these files. On import, all entities from the file are placed in the same folder and the folder is given the file name.
As of version 2025.1.4, you can choose to use Standard or Legacy import formats using the CAD Import/Export Settings. Supported formats are:
CAD is exported with the "Export CAD" button on the Model tab of the Ribbon.

Label Exporting
The Standard features also include new capabilities for exporting labels associated with each entity as Product Manufacturing Information (PMI).

Only supported in .JT (preferred for exporting labels to NX CAD) and .stp formats.
When exporting to supported file formats in the Standard mode, visible labels are exported as PMI. If measurements are visible, those are exported as well.

Settings to View PMI in NX CAD
If importing annotations to NX CAD via a JT file, a few steps are needed within NX CAD to correctly import and view the annotations. Annotations from JT files are imported into NX CAD as Product Manufacturing Information (PMI).
First, enable the PMI toolbar as shown below.
Next, in the Customer Defaults menu, navigate to the JT Files section > Import Content, and select the “Always Load” option for PMI.
It is also useful to set the “Display in all views” option, under PMI General/Setup > Display.
Lastly, once the JT file is imported, the PMI must be converted to be made visible. This is done from the PMI > Annotations section of the MBD Navigator. Right click on the annotations and choose the option to “Convert.” Note that the annotation labeled “Leaders” should not be included in the selection for conversion.
