Design Load Case Overrides allow you to customize the included Design Loads, safety factors, thermal help/hurt factors, and temperatures per Zone, per Design Load Case. This form is launched directly from the Design Loads table.
Tip
If you are unsure about formatting the table, use the "Export to grid format" option to export a properly formatted .csv for you to populate. Each row represents a Zone Name, and each Column is a Design Load Case Name. The intersecting cells can be populated accordingly.
Save the .csv, then use the "Import grid format" to automatically import your data into the form.
The "Included Design Loads" table allows the user to determine which Design Load Cases are run for each Zone. Each row represents a given Zone, and the selected Design Load Cases to be run are provided as inputs.

This is the mechanism that is used to implement Design Load Case Filtering.

These tables allow you to tailor the limit and ultimate safety factors, respectively, per Design Load Case, per Zone. The equations below, taken from Factoring Design Loads illustrates how the resulting Zone Design-To Loads are calculated.

Important
As of HyperX version 2026.1.13, Temperature Profiles are used to assign Zone-by-Zone Analysis Temperatures which replaces this workflow.
When upgrading a Database with Temperature Overrides to version 2026.1.13, Temperature Profiles will be automatically created based on the Overrides. This can lead to a lot of repeated data so be sure to review the setup after the Database migration.
Prior to HyperX version 2026.1.13, the "Temperatures" table allows the user to define the Analysis Temperature (i.e. the temperature at which Material properties and allowables are determined) per Zone, per Design Load Case.
