Three topics must be properly understood to use HyperX to your full advantage.
-
Database: (
*.hdb3file) is the center of all HyperX operations – when working in HyperX, you are working in a Database. A Database contains a series of data tables which hold all design and material data for manipulation by the software. -
Database Template: Databases that have been explicitly set up with particular material systems, defaults, etc. to provide a starting point for a newly created Database and enforce standardization within a team. When creating a new Database, you will always be asked to select a Template to start with.
-
Projects: Created to interact with Database data in conjunction with a FEM. You can have as many Projects in a Database as you'd like, and they all have access to the data in the Database tables. A Project must be created to perform an Analysis or Sizing.
