Objective: To override Design Property analysis definitions with user-defined values for specified Zones using the Analysis Input Overrides form.
In some cases, it might be worthwhile to change an Analysis Dimension(s) of a particular Zone - without altering the entire Design Property.

Analysis Overrides are only accessible to Zones that have been assigned a Design Property
The Analysis Overrides Table is found on the Design tab of the Ribbon.

Select all Zones that require Dimension Overrides.

Launch the Analysis Overrides Table from the Ribbon by selecting the rise-up and clicking 'Analysis Overrides.' Notice how the table populates only with the Zones that have been selected.
The Dimension Overrides Table is made up of rows corresponding to each selected Zone and columns corresponding to each Dimension or Material entry available to be overridden. These columns are based on the concept applied to the selected Zones through the Design Property. Each cell should be populated with its desired value. Click 'Apply' to save the prescribed overrides.
Note
This table works very much like Microsoft Excel - so several different Excel-specific formulas and functionality can be employed to populate this table accordingly.
As of HyperX version 2026.1.13, new Excel-centric utilities have been added:

Edit in Excel - Export and open an Excel version of the Overrides Table.

Read from Excel - After editing the Overrides Table in Excel, use this button to reload the table into HyperX.

Import from Excel - You can import any Overrides Table from Excel into HyperX.
Any saved Analysis Overrides will be indicated on the Design Property assigned to the selected Zones. The overridden dimension box(es) will be highlighted in green.
Note
The Analysis Overrides Table can be accessed from the Design Property form for review by clicking the green "Overrides" button.
An Analysis routine must be run on the selected Zones in order to implement the overridden dimensions.

Select all Zones with overridden dimensions.

Click 'Analyze'.
During this run, only the dimensions explicitly specified in the table will be overridden. All other variables will be analyzed according to the values prescribed by the Design Property.
The overridden dimensions can be shown directly on the model using the Legend. See Viewing Results for other options for reviewing results directly in the Viewport.
The Analysis Overrides Table is also used to Analyze current Sizing results. Cross-sectional dimensions and materials can be "pushed" to this table - the equivalent of 'saving off' a particular set of Sizing results - and then Analyzed, rather than re-Sized.
